Graphics Plus began in 1977 doing work for various publishers and certified marketing representatives (CMRs). The business thrived until computers became much cheaper and CMRs elected to bring artwork and ad production into their own offices. Graphics Plus continued with success in producing ad graphics that would help your business get noticed. During the years Mike Garry had a fluctuating number of staff and in 1995 decided to maintain freelance designers as a way to sustain the business volume. Somewhere about 1990 Mike was diagnosed with Parkinsons disease. Mike was able to keep his health problems to a minimum until in 2000 he realized he could no longer continue to build the business as it was needed. David Bayless joined the staff during 2000. David created graphic design for advertising, ad specialty, promotions and corporate identity programs. It was clear that Mike could no longer do the day to day operations of the business and David decided to purchase the business in December 2001. As the current owner and graphic designer on staff, David has a vision of what it is to be and what it can be. With continued success David hopes to provide clients and businesses with quality graphic design with cost effectiveness in mind. The year is now 2004 and the business is growing with the addition of BackPack Publications as a client. BackPack distributes academic planners at the university level. This publication gives businesses in that specific market an astonishing avenue to get their message to young consumers. |
